Company History

Ford Resource Group, Inc. is a sole proprietorship founded by Ms. Lori Ford in 2005.  With over 30 years of combined IT experience, her staff and strategic partner organizations are extremely adept at servicing client needs, as well as identifying the needs to the consultant. Our successes have primarily been with marketing, manufacturing, banking, insurance, medical, and governmental organizations, resulting in a growth rate of almost 10 fold over three years.  This growth is principally attributed to our integrity, industry knowledge, partnerships with leading agencies, building strong client-centric relationships, and a solid business focus.

Lori Ford - President

Lori Ford began her career in the information technology field with Signet Bank.  Ms. Ford was later recruited to serve on the leadership team at Electronic Data Systems Corporation, which consisted of 14 years within Government, Medicaid and Corporate Marketing and Communications.  During her tenure with EDS, she held a number of positions within operations, management, project management, marketing and business development.  She founded Ford Resource Group, Inc. in April 2005 in Richmond, Virginia.  Ms. Ford has over 20 years of experience as a leader in the technology field focusing on industries within banking, manufacturing, health care, and the public sector; city, state & local and federal government.  Her career and experience in the technical field has provided extensive training to hire and recruit IT professionals serving entities in public utilities, public works, health care, Medicaid, finance, human and social services, transportation and logistics, education, manufacturing, among many other business entities.  

In 2001, Ms. Ford became a consultant were she specialized in corporate communications and strategic marketing for companies across the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She assisted small businesses in marketing strategies, marketing processes and collateral, identifying core competencies, packaging services and solutions, while aligning the services in the marketplace and business community.   She assisted companies in the certification process on the State and Federal levels as a small business enterprise.  While aligning her clients with organizations and large IT entities to generate and grow revenue outside of the day to day sales model.

Today, as President of Ford Resource Group, Inc. Ms. Ford manages the woman owned business to provide the recruitment and placement of information technology professionals for clients of all sizes in Government, Health Care and the Private Sector.  More recently, Ms. Ford started a small woman-owned construction company focusing on custom building, renovations and additions, and remodeling of existing residential and commercial dwellings.
